Non-anesthetic pet teeth cleaning
Dogs need routine dental care just like humans. Imagine how your teeth would look and feel if you didn't brush them daily? Plaque and tartar build up on your pet’s teeth, can eventually lead to painful gingivitis, periodontal disease, infections, tooth loss, and even problems in the rest of the body (heart disease, for example).
Non-anesthetic teeth cleaning is a PREVENTATIVE procedure. Most pets require a cleaning every 6 months.
Step 1- Dental exam to confirm no oral infection present, loose teeth, build up under the gumline, root exposure, gum recession, deep fractures. All pets with these issues require a dental cleaning under anesthesia by veterinarian. If your pet is a candidate then we can proceed with the cleaning.
Step 2 - Cleaning with sterilized hand scalers to remove plaque and tartar from the teeth.
Step 3 - Polishing smoothes the surface and helps keep plaque off the teeth.
